Vincent van Gogh (1853–1890) was a Dutch Post-Impressionist artist whose work had a profound influence on modern art. Despite his short life and only ten years of productive work, he produced over 2,000 artworks, including around 860 oil paintings. Van Gogh is famous for his unique brushwork, vibrant colors, and expressive depictions, especially of landscapes, portraits, and self-portraits.
