Bob Marley was born in Jamaica in 1945 and died in Miami in 1981. As a singer and co-founder of The Wailers, he played a major role in bringing reggae to international audiences from the mid-1970s onward. His best-known songs include “No Woman, No Cry,” “Redemption Song,” and “Could You Be Loved?”. His music was strongly influenced by the Rastafari movement and social themes.
