"And still, no one knows! And the truth remains hidden. Faith is the graveyard of many truths. And the mortician is the system of the self-appointed rulers of this earth. However, people often decorate it with the flowers of ignorance! Faith is the most dangerous instrument of the system since ancient Babylon.... and nobody notices it!"

"Many people, especially ignorant people, want to punish you for speaking the truth, for being correct, for being you. Never apologize for being correct, or for being years ahead of your time. If you’re right and you know it, speak your mind. Speak your mind. Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is still the truth."

"I realize this is a radical statement, but to me it is true. I believe I don't really listen unless there is some truth in what the other person is telling me. Not just on the surface, but underneath. What drives them? Why do they say that? What are they trying to understand? Perhaps there is something positive in them that could change me for the better. I should always look out for something that positively changes me. But I find that when I listen more mindfully, I ask myself: What is behind it?
Recently, I had a conversation, or rather, I listened to a conversation on YouTube. Someone claimed that it is possible that the Earth is flat. If I had spoken with this person, I would hopefully say: "Well, how did you come to this belief? Where does this idea come from?" Because there is something good about their trying to understand how nature works. Is the Earth round or flat? What is going on here? Behind it lies something useful that I can identify with. We don't have to shout at each other all the time."
Alan Alda

"Recognizing truth requires selflessness. You have to leave yourself out of it so you can find out the way things are in themselves, not the way they look to you or how you feel about them or how you would like them to be."

"When the human race learns to read the language of symbolism, a great veil will fall from the eyes of men. They shall then know truth and, more than that, they shall realize that from the beginning truth has been in the world unrecognized, save by a small but gradually increasing number appointed by the Lords of the Dawn as ministers to the needs of human creatures struggling co regain their consciousness of divinity."
Manly P. Hall
