Born in 1947, Michael A. Klaper is an American medical doctor and vegan who works as a health educator, speaker, and writer. He graduated from medical school in 1972 and adopted a vegan diet a decade later. Since then, he has published books and articles promoting veganism and served as a founding director of the Institute of Nutrition Education and Research.
