Horst Lorenz Seehofer (born 4 July 1949 in Ingolstadt) is a German politician of the Christian Social Union (CSU). He served as Minister-President of Bavaria from 2008 to 2018 and as Federal Minister of the Interior, Building and Community from March 2018 to January 2021. He was also chairman of the CSU from 2008 to 2019.
