Konrad Lorenz (1903–1989) was a prominent Austrian zoologist, ethologist, and behavioral researcher, considered one of the founders of modern ethology. He particularly studied imprinting in animals and was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1973 for his work in ethology.
