Dr. Robert Mendelsohn (1926–1988) was an American physician, author, and noted health care critic. He was outspoken against overmedicalization and the dangers posed by modern medical practices. His best-known work, ‘Confessions of a Medical Heretic,’ criticizes contemporary medicine as overly interventionist and risky for patients.
